From June 30th to July 11th, the 25th Universiade will take place in Belgrade, Serbia. For this event, there will be 15 sports total taking place. As with every Universiade, there are 13 compulsory sports. In addition, 2 optional sports which have been retained. From the soccer point of view, there will be 16 teams in each of the men's and women's competitions. This makes these games the single biggest world-wide competition for women's soccer ever. By comparison, for the Beijing Olympics, women's soccer contained only 12 participating teams.

This truly promises to be a great experience for me personally but it would be wrong for me not to think of all the people who have helped and supported me through the years as I have pursued my passion for coaching in the game of soccer. I will take everything I have learned during my coaching experiences and hope to be part of helping Canada obtain its best result ever.
